Harmony at Home was founded to help parents just like you and me. There is no doubt that while raising children is one of the most rewarding experiences, it is also one of the most challenging phases in our journey through life. I am a big fan of real talk and with three little kids of my own, I know first-hand the trials and tribulations of raising youngsters. Parenting is a lifelong journey that requires flexibility as we flow through the ever-changing phases of this adventure.
Passion for family
At Harmony at Home, I combine my passion for family, the importance of childhood, mental health and well-being, as well as all things play related. My goal is to provide a safe space for families to share their struggles and to brainstorm ideas and strategies that will empower them and enable them to thrive and become the best version of themselves. I am intentional about observing families with care and compassion in order to understand their unique circumstances. My objective is to provide support and to assist you in finding the practical solutions to whatever is standing in the way of your family achieving their harmony.
Through one-on-one wellness counselling with parents, postpartum coaching (coming soon!), as well as child counselling that utilises play-led techniques, my aim is to help families, and individual family members.
Interest areas in counselling include: the postpartum period, child development, grief and loss, trauma debriefing, anxiety, blended families as well as special needs families.
Registered with the Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners (ASCHP) as a Wellness Counsellor.
