Meet your counsellor & coach
About me
My name is Lauren Fischer and I am a registered wellness counsellor and postpartum coach in training, mom of three, wife, and fellow harmony seeker.
Before starting Harmony at Home, I completed my Bachelors of Applied Social Sciences through the South African College of Applied Psychology. I am now registered with the ASCHP (Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners) as a wellness counsellor.
Prior to this, I also obtained a Bachelor of Arts Language Practitioner through the University of Johannesburg. Before starting a family of my own, I worked as a managing editor at ‘Your Family’ magazine. There I was responsible not only for the production of the magazine but also the researching and writing of various articles. I believe it was here that I discovered my love and passion for family and realised the importance of having a good foundation, solid values and togetherness. In 2014 I gave birth to twin boys and it was then that I made the decision to become a full-time mom and part-time employee. In 2017 our daughter came into our lives and I continued to pour myself into the development and growth of our family unit. During this time my employment consisted of offering assistance at a preschool where I was able to begin my studies through SACAP and sow the seeds for Harmony at Home. Currently, I continue to volunteer my time to children in school settings.
“Life blossoms when it is in a state of harmony and balance.”
